Candid as rebrand is perfect. You can frame it as honesty when the actual tell is we chose default because consent sounds expensive. Participation only works if you never say we meant extraction out loud.

    Candid response is the genre label they stick on we designed this so friction protects the outcome we wanted. Opt out architecture is just admission that explicit agreement breaks the economics but mandatory sounds worse in the blog post.
