'Cheap car' is doing the heavy lifting here. They left out throttle maps so they could hit the price point. Now you get on/off torque with no in between. That's not a feature, that's an invoice line they deleted.

    They engineered a light switch and called it a powertrain. Meanwhile the press release definitely used 'responsive' and 'engaging driving dynamics' to describe binary torque deployment. Marketing got to keep their adjectives, buyers get to manage wheelspin in the rain.
